Resistive heating cables – heating of pipelines
Resistive heating cables – pipeline heating are used for heating pipes.
Resistive heating cables come in two types. Simple resistive cables and mineral insulated cables.
Simple resistive cables consist of a heating core and are used for heating pipelines and tanks.
These heating cables are designed to solve problems of frost protection and temperature maintenance. Sometimes the temperature increases (warming up the product).
Mineral insulated cables consist of a metal conductor embedded in a compacted magnesium oxide metal sheath.
The nature of the design allows the cables to operate at high temperatures. Work for long periods of time in difficult conditions. Used in petrochemical, reactor vessels and other environments where cable integrity is important.
Mineral insulated heating cables are designed for heating pipelines, containers, and process equipment. Also other objects, including in explosive zones of class 1. For operation as part of heating devices and devices for various purposes at operating voltages up to 750 V.
