Zone heating cables
Zonal heating cables are used for heating pipes, tanks, separators, and other equipment. Used in hazardous areas. The heating element of the cables is a heating filament. They are used for heating in multiples of a meter. Service life up to 20 years or more.
Zonal cables are constant power cables. Conductive conductors with a cross-section of up to 1.2 sq. mm are installed inside the cable. A heating element is wound around the cores in the form of a thread. The heating element is wound at a certain pitch to prevent interference with each other. Next, the first layer of coating is applied. Tinned braid is laid on the layer. There is a fluoropolymer insulation layer on top of the cable. Thanks to this layer, the cable is resistant to aggressive environments.
The cable acquired its name due to the possibility of cutting it into specific zones on site. The size of the cut off zone is one meter.
Zonal cables include only the advantages of resistive and self-regulating cables. It can intersect with each other, like a samreg. The cable has a resistive component, like resistive cables.
