Explosion-proof floodlight Alpha Ex
The Alpha floodlight is a high performance Ex explosion proof floodlight designed for use in Zone 1 and Zone 21 hazardous areas. Its asymmetrical “Dark Sky” design reduces pollution and glare.
Either High Pressure Sodium (HPS) or Metal Halide (MH) lamps can be operated in this zone using the same control device. The Alpha floodlight features an easy access chamber for simple and quick lamp replacement. The bulb can be replaced using only one tool operation and there is no need to remove the cover.
To extend lamp life, Abtech also recommends the use of double arc lamps.
Manufactured from cast aluminium and IP66/67 protected, the Alpha explosion proof floodlight features an internal flame circuit. It eliminates the need for a routine physical examination Ex d. The igniter is located in the lamp housing, allowing for an additional remote gearbox and reduced weight on the pole.
