Anti-icing systems
Anti-icing systems are used to prevent ice formation and snow accumulation on roofs, in gutters, on sidewalks, ramps, and other open areas. Such a system eliminates the risk of icicles, prevents damage to facades and roofing materials, and protects against accidents related to water freezing. A properly selected anti-icing system improves the safety of facilities and removes the need for manual snow removal.
The core of such solutions is heating cables, which are installed in gutters, pipes, along roof edges, as well as in pedestrian walkways or driveways. Depending on the requirements, resistive (single-core or twin-core) or self-regulating cables can be used. For control, temperature and precipitation sensors connected to thermostats are applied, activating the system only when needed or during adverse weather conditions. As a whole, the system protects the building from damage caused by icing and ensures uninterrupted drainage of meltwater even in severe frost.
