The explosion-proof air conditioner FKS-CLM type Ex manufactured by Bartec GmbH (Germany) is characterised by its compact dimensions. Despite its compact dimensions, it has an efficient cooling capacity and is manufactured in 2 and 4 kW outputs.
Above all, the FKS-CLM explosion-proof air conditioner can be easily mounted on a flat panel and can also be installed outdoors at temperatures from -35°C to +55°C. For example, it can be configured for operating equipment and enclosures with Ex p (purge) type of protection.
When heating, the FKS-CLM compact air conditioner can be used to heat enclosures and the heating capacity is derived from electrically dissipated heat and mechanical energy. As an example, friction energy from the heat of compression and compressor friction energy.
In addition, we would like to point out that the heating capacity of one modified hot gas bypass unit corresponds to approximately half of the cooling capacity.
For example, process analysers installed in outdoor enclosures or containers often show unstable measurements due to temperature differences between day and night. The outer casing of the compact air conditioner type FCS-CLM is made of glass fibre reinforced polyester. This gives it hardness and additional anti-static properties and resistance to corrosion and petroleum products.
The evaporator and condenser are in separate Exd (“flameproof enclosure”) boxes isolated from the air conditioner. The electrical automation unit is housed in an Ex d type enclosure. To this the control can be supplied in a protective box for installation in a safe environment.
